AudioBahn Sound Q ALUM12N - Car subwoofer - 1000 Watt - 12" Review

AudioBahn Sound Q ALUM12N - Car subwoofer - 1000 Watt - 12
Average Reviews:

Pros: Good sound quality.
Cons: These 1000 watt RMS subwoofers can't handle 1000 watts of continuous power. The first subwoofer, I had the amp turned up a little higher then I probably should have, the sub lasted about 2 minutes before burning up... The second subwoofer, I had the amp tuned to 1000 watts, and had added 6db on the deck, at 75% volume this subwoofer was alright, but the second I hit 80% volume it burned up.
Overall: Personally, I have run a 600 watt Alpine Type-R with a 500 watt amp, gain all the way up, everything maxed, volume maxed, the subwoofer has never had issues. I even put that same exact Alpine Type-R on the same 1000 watt amp that was burning out the AudioBahns, and it still has no issues... I've never smelled it burning, nothing! ... These AudioBahns are the age old story, you get what you pay for... I will never buy another audiobahn product after this experience.

Pioneer TS-A1673R 6.5-Inch, 220-Watt 3-Way Speakers Review

Pioneer TS-A1673R 6.5-Inch, 220-Watt 3-Way Speakers
Average Reviews:

I am an AV technician (audio video) for concerts and shows. i am trained to tune the best of sounds out of the highest quality speakers.
I purchased these speakers expecting the least and was very surprised when i installed them.
These speakers sound beautiful. They are comparable to Bose or Alpine. I would most definitely recommend these to a friend.
Many people say that there isn't enough bass in these speakers. A little hint for ya... you cant just turn the bass up in your car and expect chest thumping goodness. You must adjust the mids and the lows and the power going to each hertz setting. These speakers have bass... they have tons of it. you just need to know how to pull it out of them.
So... if you want Bose quality at a low price... i totally recommend to anyone.

Pioneer's TS-A1673R 6-1/2-inch three-ways now feature upgraded power handling of 220 watts max. (35 watts nominal). This year, they also feature something they've inherited from the D-Series speakers--a basalt cone. Pioneer continues to set an example with next-generation technology for improved sound: the tweeter, magnets, surrounds, the voice coil wire, the basket and more are all high-performance components that make up a great speaker.

Alpine Type-R SPR-17C - Car speaker - 100 Watt - 2-way - coaxial - 6.5" Review

Alpine Type-R SPR-17C - Car speaker - 100 Watt - 2-way - coaxial - 6.5

These speakers are awesome! They have excellent clarity. I have them installed in an S10 with Alpine Type S 4x6 speakers in the dash, two 12 inch subwoofers behind the seats, and an Alpine IDA-x001 head unit. I have passive crossovers installed on these speakers, so I can't comment on the bass response of these speakers, but the mids and highs are excellent. I have them powered by the in-deck amplifier, and these speakers could certainly handle more power than is being supplied. An external amplifier would probably be a good choice with these these speakers, but it is not necessary. They sound loud and clear just the way they are. They sound better than several component speaker systems that I have heard in the past, and I would definitely recommend these speakers to anyone wishing to upgrade their sound system.

Dual XPA2500 300 Watt Amplifier Review

Dual XPA2500 300 Watt Amplifier
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I'm definitely not an amp expert. I got some free subs and bought this cheap amp from WalMart because I wasn't willing to spend a fortune on a car sound system. This amp was easy to hook up and after about 2 years I'm starting to have heating problems. It's the beginning of spring now and on warm days the amp will stay on for about 10 minutes then start cutting on and off. I have it well ventilated and everything is hooked up right. I would suggest this product for anyone wanting to install sub woofers in their car for the first time. I would NOT suggest buying this used. It doesn't really surprise me that something from WalMart would do this, but other than heating issues after about two years, this is a good amp.

These speakers have amazing sound for being 5 1/4's! I can hear them very clear even though they are mounted in my front door down by my feet. I totally recommend these for anyone with factory 5 1/4's that suck! Great high, and mid-range sound at an unbeatable price!

i have two of these in a 1997 gmc 1500 ext. cab. facing forward. And i will say there could be more bass but for no more air space then is required these are amazing. They are so responsive and soo clean sounding i have to give 5s all day. I have a kicker amp pushing close to 900 watts rms to them and i have anoter kicker amp pushing close to 400 watts rms to my component speakers. Awesome setup. So loud and clean and the bass is nothing short.

Sony XSL12S Slim Line Subwoofer Review

Sony XSL12S Slim Line Subwoofer

I recently purchased two of these speakers for my truck. Had a small enclosure, so needed something that worked in small spaces. These happened to be the cheapest and I've had other sony products in the past. So I figured they would work great. I had them put in and about 3 weeks later, I blew one of them. Sounded great up till I blew it. Good thing it comes with a 1 year warranty. Becuase it looks like you will need it.
