(More customer reviews)I recently purchased these speakers to replace my factory front speakers in my 08 Civic EX. They sound is much crisper and cleaner throughout; however, the one thing it lacks is a rich bass sound. So if you are looking for that, these are not the speakers for you. Though these speakers are rated at 25 RMS it can probably take closer to 40 or 50 RMS as kicker under rates its products. I am very happy with the sound quality and you cannot beat the price.

DS Speakers are the best value for serious, drop-in upgrades in your doors. The DS Series comes in eight different sizes, including the new DS650 with 6.5-inch midrange drivers. DS650 Features

Enhanced BAM (Basket and Motor) Assembly Utilizes a high strength steel basket, features a low-profile open design, and provides a solid foundation for the precision-aligned motor assembly.
Optimized Polyfoam Ribbed Surround Radius This allows extended cone excursion for additional bass output and higher SPL, and couples the suspension into a conjoined linear-motion body.
High-Temp Polyimide Film Voice Coil Former improves sonic and conductive properties, and prevents thermal-electrical meltdown.
PEN Dome Tweeter with Neodymium Magnet Provides a smooth high frequency response with quick, detailed and spatially-correct imaging. PEN is an acronym for the space age material "biaxially oriented polypropylene naphthalate film"--your parents' tax dollars probably paid for its development, you might as well enjoy it.
High-Power Tinsel Lead Wires These eliminate broken leads and power loss, due to the common use of "insufficient-gauge" lead wires.
Ferro-Fluid Cooled tweeter voice-coil extends the high frequency transducer's life span.

Pyle PLVW-CRK5 1/2+ Din Center Channel Speaker and Amplifier Review

(More customer reviews)First of all let me say I bought these at 40$ + shipping. For the "retail" price you can find the Apline unit which is bigger and has a bigger sound or build your own (I did one with the Aura 2" full range speakers that came out very nice). Of course you will need a separate amplifier.
Bought this for a friend who is doing a budget 5.1 install in his hyundai accent. Considering the price of other center channel solutions (for which you would need to purchase an auxiliary amplifier AND wiring) it's a great buy. The amplifier included is adequate to fully power the small speakers to realistic vocal levels and was very easy to hook up and had some fair mounting options. You will need a single channel RCA cable for input.
Mounting the speaker itself took a bit of re-working the pocked beneth the head unit but with a dremmel, utility knife, and some patience we made it happen. The speakers themselves are angled at about 45 degrees upwards so perhaps designed for cars with the head unit a bit lower on the dash, but they still do fairly well off-axis. If you have a FULL din size iso mount hole the Alpine (full DIN size) is super easy to mount and is supperior sounding.
I'm completely against "center" channel for music listening. If you have a good left and right it should naturally form a central soundstage. If you don't have this, adding another speaker (particularly a tiny one without advanced processing) will become an accoustic disaster and will not fix an allready poor or cluttered soundstage. THIS IS NOT DESIGNED FOR MUSIC!!!!!
Movies recorded in 5.1 surround have an audio track which is designed to play through a center speaker. It's primarily dialog and for that purpose this center channel is quite adequate to keep up with 50W X4 on the fronts and rears. If you have a head unit that plays movies in 5.1 surround, this is a very inexpensive solution to fix weak dialog from downmixing 5.1 to 4.1 or simple stereo signal or just add that next level to your mobile multimedia.
Anyway, I had a feeling they'd be decent for the money so I bought a spare that I might use down the road. I'd say worth more than I paid for mine and a solid little unit provided you understand what it can and cannot do. Really my only beef with this was that it was an odd size and needed some customization to mount into the dash kit (I'm sure much of this is vehicle specific though)

I purchased these speakers expecting the least and was very surprised when i installed them.
These speakers sound beautiful. They are comparable to Bose or Alpine. I would most definitely recommend these to a friend.
Many people say that there isn't enough bass in these speakers. A little hint for ya... you cant just turn the bass up in your car and expect chest thumping goodness. You must adjust the mids and the lows and the power going to each hertz setting. These speakers have bass... they have tons of it. you just need to know how to pull it out of them.
So... if you want Bose quality at a low price... i totally recommend to anyone.

(More customer reviews)I drive a vehicle with four 6 1/2" speakers in it. There's room for tweeters in the vehicle, but the OEM system did not have them installed. The foam surround of all 4 OEM speakers had rotted away and of course they sounded terrible. I found these Pyle Drive Gear Speaker Kits and couldn't believe the price break. I also liked the individual driver design. I ordered one Kit and installed it in the front of my vehicle. The difference was astounding. So astounding that I ordered another kit and installed it in the rear of my vehicle. I how have four 6 1/2" woofers & 4 tweeters running through the enclosed crossovers that make it sound great and they're only running off the OEM sound equipment! All that and Amazon free shipping to boot! I'm extremely satisfied, would do it again, and recommend these speakers.

(More customer reviews)I have this nice sub bridged to a pioneer 760 watt amp at 380 rms in a .75 cubic foot sealed box. this sub is nice sounding and hits the lows very nicely...however u want to rattle your car apart this sub wont do that...but it will rattle it...alot. I really think this sub should be in a ported box about 1.75 cubic feet, im gonna try that next...i have a 2000 honda accord with this sub, 2 pioneer 6x9 speakers, and 2 pioneer 6 1/2 speakers...system sounds very nice, the sub is wonderful and is totally worth buying...it has very good design from the voice coil to the double stacked magnets, very durable and totally worth buying!
