(More customer reviews)First of all, who ever put together the product description together couldn't be bothered to look inside the package - two tweeters are included - not one - a tweeter for each driver. It's a component system, Amazon!
I bought a pair to complement another brand and I loved them so much that I ditched the other brand and now have four of these bad-boys in my truck. I'm driving all four speakers in parallel using an ancient Kenwood PS150 @ 2 Ohms. The base and mid-range are unbelievable. The highs are ear piercing. They completely drown out my diesel Dodge Ram; I didn't think that was possible.
You do need a good amp to get the full benefit of these speakers - they LOVE to be driven hard. Although they won't produce the window-rattling ghetto base, you will feel in the floors and seats. Dynomat or similar vibration dampening material is pretty much a must.

The channels are designed to facilitate easier, more professional-looking installs without sacrificing access.
Other features include a pole-plate heat sink that promotes better heat dissipation for superior power handling and reliability; a flat spider that enables faster and longer excursions; flexible woven leads sewn directly into the spider for greater dependability; an electronic tweeter protection circuit; rock-solid, acoustically inert stamped steel baskets with a rustproof gunmetal gray finish; and muscular, computer-optimized ABS grilles.

(More customer reviews)These things are absolute crap, Im a mechanic and attend college full time for mechanical engineering I have installed probably 2 dozen sets of aftermarket speakers in my life these are the worst I have ever seen, no other speaker I have ever seen is anywhere near the level of low that I consider these speakers, first of all let me bring to your attention that they are sold in singles. Only speaker for a car I have ever seen not sold in pairs... They come with no hardware, no electrical connections, no anything. I bought the 6x9s and a pair of 6.5s thinking that I dont need anything special just a cheap stock replacement, I did not get that. What I got were four completely useless hunks of junk. Right out of the box they crackled and popped at what I consider normal listening level forcing me to listen to them at half of the volume I would normally listen to my music at, by the end of the week even at the low volume level one of each size was completely blown. The other two barely audible. Just save your money and buy something that will work. I just bought the Polk Audio equivelants to replace these and they are nothing short of amazing. I spent 60 on four of these with shipping and 130 on the polks with shipping and I would do it again every time. Would not pay 10 bucks for a set of four, junk.

(More customer reviews)Front replacement for Ford OEM speakers. Outstanding lows and highs from this set. It put my Infinity 6830cs rears to shame. Hard to imagine this is a 5 1/4 woofer. Bass was strong enough to rattle doors. I wish I had installed these in the back deck. BTW - Picture in 1/1/11 Amazon page is not MMs but are db's.

(More customer reviews)I picked these up from Amazon.com on a suggestion that they were an easy fit into my 96 Subaru Legacy Outback, and boy was that an understatement! The included adapter ring looks to fit just about any car out there, and I was able to use the stock bracket without any modifications! A worthwhile investment if you need a 6.5" speaker, and have very little room to install an upgraded speaker! I am pleasantly surprised by the audio quality for such a shallow speaker, so all in all, a worthwhile investment!

(More customer reviews)This product had a tweeter stop working for me a short while into the warranty period. I called Infinity corp. and they stated that I had to make a claim through the dealer I bought the system from, in this case it was E & B Electronics. As ridiculous as this sounds I tried it. The guy that answered the phone at E&B told me there is no way they will stand behind the product I bought from them. Then the guy actually tells me "We are not even an authorized dealer, we are just a store that sells a lot of different stuff." UNBELEIVABLE!! Did you know that Amazon apparently sells (through third-party partners like E&B Electronics) grey-market electronics, for which the manufacturer will not honor the stated warranty? I would not have believed this. When Amazon customer assistance did a three way call (which amazon wisely recorded) with me quietly listening to try to resolve this with the dealer, they ranted on at the Amazon representative, and told him to not "even to try to get a word in edgewise, because I can go on like this all day", then he abruptly hung up. The Amazon representative was as shocked at this display of unprofessional treatment towards the company that directs thousands of dollars of sales to them as I was.
In closing, I would highly recommend nobody buy any Infinity product from E&B Electronics as the warranty is not valid, and you will have no recourse if anything goes wrong with your expensive purchase. Stay away from these two companies.

Note: will not accept the OEM speaker connectors.
Just cut off OEM connectors from old speakers, solder on new speakers wires to old connector, plug in speakers!
Be sure to electrical tape any exposed connections on re-used OEM connector.
Work great!

(More customer reviews)Purchased these speakers. While they worked, they were fine. However, they stopped working after about 6 months. The stereo wasn't too loud, since the speakers replaced 15 year old stock BMW speakers which had a lower rating.
Called HarmonKardon / Infinity for warranty service. Went to the local location and was informed that I had to return the speakers to the dealer I purchased them from. Spoke to Amazon, who informed me it was a manufacturers warranty, and they had to provide service. Classic catch-22. However, in general I would have to side with Amazon, the manufacturer should provide the warranty service in this case.
So I'd give the speakers a 4 while they worked, and a 0 since they won't live up to their 1 year warranty.

They installed easily and sound even better than the stock ones used too. I am so glad that I got these as a replacement.

(More customer reviews)These are power hungry so make sure you are pushing these with a deck with at least 20watts RMS or better yet an amp rated at their wattage. These and other speakers work best after their proper 50 hour break-in period. They get less "pitchy" on the high's and the mid's and low's become less "muddy" as the hours wear on. Especially the tweeters, whew! They scream out of the box and killed my ears. Also as the hours wore on I gradually adjusted the 8kHz range up though which is a good thing for clarity. I prefer my music to not be peaky but we all have different tastes. I wouldn't trade this in for any other speaker in this price range though. Keepers! Rockford quality what else can I say besides the higher priced Fosgate's are obviously better sounding but.....the price again.
