(More customer reviews)Sturdy box, seems well constructed. The only thing cheap about it is the speaker connections on the outside of the box. They just don't hold the wires all that well. So far the wires haven't fallen out for me, but I never really move the box. If you moved it more I am sure the wires would fall out of the connections.

Kenwood KFC-W2512 10-Inch, 1000-Watt Subwoofer Review

(More customer reviews)I put two of these 10" into my 2009 Chevy Silverado Ext Cab, and they sound great glad that I went with the 10's instead of the 12's, I feel that it may have been overload for the cab size. Plus I don't need a system to rattle the neighboring cars, I just wanted something that hit well. The best part is even with a song that is thumping pretty good it can be really loud in the cab but still pretty quiet outside the truck. That may be a negative for some who may want to show off but I don't. Here are my other components:

(More customer reviews)This box is intended for a type S Alpine 12. (or similar spec speaker) I have a type R and the air volume of this box is too small for it and the port tuning is wrong. It did not sound very good with a type R. I will give it a thumbs up for the quality construction. I wish I could give a more favorable review. I am not saying this box is bad. It was designed for a type S and I'm sure it would sound great loaded with one judging by the high build quality and specs.
(EDIT 2 WEEKS LATER)The Alpine Type R recommends a 1.9 cubic ft. (ported) box. This is only 1.3. The full range of bass was not heard with my 2010 Type R. I replaced it with this...

(More customer reviews)Decent box and for $29 shipped so who's going to argue. It says 1" speaker baffles however the front face is only 3/4" MDF. I'm not sure if the rest of the box is 5/8 or 3/4. None the less it is a well built box with glued joints all around. Should do the trick. Came in a carboard box with a couple edges of the box getting dinged...nothing a little sharpie and a stapler couldn't fix. Again...I couldn't have built one this well for $50 and a lot of sweat. This is easier.

(More customer reviews)This is a good box for the price for sure, becuase with the shared chamber your subs still have power as if they were hitting against each other, but without the pressure it cuases on the subs! I bought it not knowing what to expect because of the fact that the only other boxes ive ever owned were sealed and they cause some serious low beats but lack highs but also cause alot of stress on the subs and i love loud systems so as a result ive blown 3sets of subs because of them so i bought new subs and a new amp awhile back and i bought this with them and they are really loud! lol!! the only bad thing is it doesnt come with wires for the inside of the box (from the box connections to the subs) but that was an easy fix!! but it still is a great box!!!!

(More customer reviews)okay so i originally gave this box a good review, 5 stars!! ( shame on me) lol so i'm editing my review =) i bought this box for a 15inch type-r and thought it sounded really good for a month but then i realized it was missing something. Hmmm, THIS thing can not hit the lows! at all!! The port is tuned too high and its a little on the small side. so do yourself a favor and just build your own box or have someone that knows what there doing build one for you. when your dealing with ported enclosures you have to know what your doing and you should make the box specifically for your subwoofer. google it and you'll see!! i paid 100 dollars for someone to make me a new ported box and it was well worth it, 3.0 cubic ft tuned to 32hz. My subwoofer definitely hits those lows that i was looking for and just sounds overall better. AND!! why does this thing almost cost 70 dollars now! I bought it for 50 and i don't even use it now. So use the 70 dollars that you would of spent on this box and put it towards a custom enclosure built specifically for your subwoofer! so i hope this helps people out.
