PIAA 97060 Si-Tech Silicone Flat Wiper Blade - 24" Review

(More customer reviews)I've been a fan of PIAA wipers for many years and when I learned of these new "flat" ones, I jumped at the chance to upgrade my wipers.
The Good:
The wipers are easy to open
The seem to be of higher quality than the Bosch Icons I used in the past
Installation is easy, everything you need is included
The Cleaning/Prep packet really does help.
The Bad:
Cleaning and preparing the windshield takes some time and effort. It is worth it, but it makes a 5 min job into a 15-20 min job.
Price. You get what you pay for in this case, but they are expensive when compared to Rain-X and Bosch.
In use...that's hard to say for sure as we've only had fog/drizzle over the past few days since I have installed these. But they worked very well, seemingly better than the Icons I had before. At best, they are noticeably better than the Bosch Icons (on a windshield that had Rain-X applied). At worst, they are just slightly better than their competitors.
So overall, I feel that they are of better overall quality than the others and will easily to recommend to those folks looking for a great, if expensive, set of wipers.

Trico 21-200 Wiper Blade Review

I live in Florida and we get rain often and twice on both blades I have had to slide the wiper blade back into it's carrier. No big deal, they are too large to fly off unless you leave them unattended for too long. They slide out slowly so when it stops raining you just push them back in. Annoying but again, they are cheap and they do keep water off the windshield.

Valeo 500-24 500-Series Windshield Wiper Blade - 24'' Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased Valeo 500 24" along with an 18" and a 13" a few weeks ago they were a bargain and, I tried them out when we had tropical depression and it just rained 80% for the past few days, the blades smear water to a point it is a danger to see. I am sorry that I threw the boxes away or I would return them.
I threw the wiper blades out and purchased rain-x latitude at advanced auto parts store and I was amazed how they whisk away the water.
no more buying car parts online, you don't know what you get even if it is a cheap deal.
I'll stick with the items i know: electronics, books, home/garden/pets, movies/music, computers, clothing/jewelry.
oh well..., I tried and thought i was getting a bargain for the price.

(More customer reviews)I purchased 2 20" wipers for a Chevrolet Blazer. I received a box that looked like it had beeen packaged and wrapped by a child. The box was approx 2" longer than the blades. There should have been no problem, but the wipers were bent in half as if they had to be forced into the box????? The worst experience I have had with Amazon. For $20 it wasn't worth paying to return them for a refund. I just wrote the whole thing off and will not buy anything automotive from Amazon in the future.

Bosch 424A ICON Wiper Blade - 24" Review

(More customer reviews)For more than 30 years, I've searched high and low for the perfect wiper blade. Being a little tiny bit obsessive about my car, one of the things I can NOT tolerate is a chattering, noisy, smeary, streaky wiper blade. Driving in the rain is hard enough without feeling like you're trying to look through a wax-paper windshield.
In the past, I'd put new wiper blades on my car two or three times a year and sometimes more, just to make sure I never had to deal with wiper smear or worse, wiper chatter. That sound is like fingernails on a blackboard to me!!
I'd also clean the rubber edge several times between blade changes, to keep the leading edge clean and free from debris and gooey tree gunk and junk. Due to my desire to keep the finest quality blades on the car, I'd only buy authentic Toyota blades for my 2003 Camry and then one day...
An associate at the local Toyota dealer talked me into buying the rubber inserts for the blades, rather than the whole blade assembly. For 20 minutes, I waited and watched as she fiddled around trying desperately to get the inserts into the arm assembly. Two days later (and 10 minutes of use later), while driving in a light rain storm, the whole thing came apart in pieces, scratching my windshield in the process. It was a Sunday afternoon (dealer was closed), so I drove directly to the auto parts store and told them I wanted the most expensive wiper-blade they sold. They took me to the Bosch Icon and said, "these are the best, but they're pricey."
I couldn't be more pleased with the quality and performance of this product. The two blades I bought for Cammie cost less than $50 which isn't THAT much contrasted against the frustration of not being able to see clearly through the windshield when it rains.
April 2008 UPDATE: I am on my second pair of Bosch Icons and I'm saddened to say that I am no longer "raving" about these things. While they're just swell for the first 60 days, they deteriorate quickly after that and become streaky and smeary. When I was buying wiper blades for my daughter's car, I asked the auto parts guy about the Bosch Icon. He replied, "I'm not that impressed with them either. They don't last long."

Anco 30-16 Premium Winter Wiper Blade - 16" Review

It is the right size and the wiper would probably work for the right vehicle but it does not make contact over the whole rear window on the dodge. The rear hatch has a curved glass and both ends of the wiper does not touch the glass.

(More customer reviews)this is junk ! the adapter is a piece of light plastic and the adapter does not snap down all the way it more or less snaps at the edges. so it doesnt lay flat at the middle part it still sticks up i got these on [...] and they are going back tomorrow. i should have stayed with the classic ones. also consumer reports say these type do not do any better job than the traditional wipers. i would never buy this brand again.

After not wanting to deal with sub-par wipers I bought these, through a friends recommendation, and will had pressed to use another brand of wiper. These wipers were so great that I bought them for my other vehicle as well. Had them for over a few months, and during rain, snow, and the weird cash wash they have endured. I personally have recommended them to my friends and family and none have had anything bad to say about it. Hope this helps.
