(More customer reviews)I have no evidence that the Bosch O2 sensor is either superior or inferior to any other competing brand. Bosch products do have a reputation of being higher-end.This unit came with anti-seize compound on the threads. My only reco to others is to buy the pre-wired (with the connector) version and save time as opposed to saving $. The latter eliminates the possibility of a wiring error,future open circuit, and provides a much simpler r/r. Amazon gave me a good price on the product, lower than local.

(More customer reviews)This sensor and a different numbered sensor required for my van cured my "check Engine light" problem. I didn't like the electrical connector kit provided. Butt connectors were much easier to use to splice the sensor into the vehicle wiring.

Bosch 15738 Oxygen Sensor, Universal Type Fitment Review

(More customer reviews)I have used these to replace the OEM Bosch sensors on my getting old Porsche Boxster. They are a newer "planar" design compared to the original "thimble" style and are the recommended replacement according to Bosch and are used on the newer models. They are a hair bigger, however.
These are not a direct replacement, but a universal model require splicing. I did not use the supplied connector but crimped/soldered them and covered them with high-temp heat-shrink and fiberglass lined silicone hose comparable to OEM. I am very anal about reliability.
The advantage of these is faster warm up and faster responsiveness compared to the OEM thimble style. In practice, this reduces/eliminates the odd once-a-year Check Engine Light where often the code is related to aging or slow O2 sensor response.
If you are handy and can do a good splice job, I would highly recommend these, and they are a good price.
