(More customer reviews)This is a pretty straightforward purchase: two Thule-brand bars of dimension 1.25" x 0.75" -- exactly what I needed to replace my old (ancient!) Terzo-brand bars that finally rusted out and gave way. Only 3 stars are awarded as I found the picture misleading: the end caps are NOT included, I'll have to buy these separately now. Had I known (or read the written description which omits mention of the caps) I would have sprung the extra $5 to get the caps included in my free shipping.

About Thule To say that Thule's beginnings in the U.S. were humble would be an understatement. Founding member Ake Skeppner sold products at windsurf competitions on the New England shoreline, exhibited the product line at a number of different trade shows, and even canvassed local retailers in the greater New York area, all from his "office"--a now-famous station wagon. Initial success was found in the small but growing sport of windsurfing where a strong, reliable roof rack was an indispensable piece of equipment. This was quickly followed by success in the ski business where Thule's Swedish heritage certainly helped the product gain rapid acceptance.
By the mid-1980s, the company sold products directly to ski and windsurfing shops but sold through distributors to address the large and growing bike business. A risky decision was made to terminate these distributor relationships and sell direct to retailers through a network of independent sales representatives. Shortly after, Ake hired an engineer and set up a small assembly plant in Elmsford, New York in order to design and manufacture bike carriers that would offer the features demanded by the U.S. consumer and compete effectively with other racks on the market.

Thule 684 Terrapin Hitch Mount Luggage Box Review

(More customer reviews)I must have shopped 3 months for the best price on this storage box. I really wanted to support the loacal shop here in Denver, Rack Attack, but after repeated attempts to get them to match the before tax price of the Amazon product, I decided to just buy it from Amazon. It was also annoying that if I was willing to pay the extra money for their box that they wanted to charge me an additional amount to have them assemble and install it. In all, I saved about $80 by buying it from Amazon.
I could not have been more happy with the purchase experience. It was delivered as agreed and in perfect condition.
The box itself took about 2 hours to assemble and install. Not very difficult, but certainly time consuming. Also, unless you are okay with semi-heavy lifting, you should probably do this with another person. The box fit perfectly into my 2007 4-Runner hitch. The only problem was that I needed an adapter from 7 pin to 4 pin to get the brake lights to work. I had to buy this from Wal-Mart for $18.
Lastly, after installation, only one of the brake lights was working. After about 20 minutes of inspection, I realized that when I was assebling the box I had accidentally disconnected one of the brake light wire assemblies. It's easy to do if you're not careful...somewhat of a design flaw. Once reconnected, the box worked like a charm.
I am very happy with the purchase and recommend it to anyone looking for a little extra cargo space for road trips.

Thule 963XT Spare-Me Tire Mount, 2 Bike Rack Review

(More customer reviews)This is a well-constructed rack but it has limited adjustability. It can handle a narrow range of tire widths. P235/75R15s are at least an inch too wide. The instruction sheet says: "your vehicle must be equipped with the stock spare tire", it is "Not intended for tandems or recumbents" and "Not intended for off-road use". There is, however, adjustability to left or right to compensate for an off-set rear spare. It would not fit my spare and I returned it. The Yakima Sparetime is more adjustable but it, too, has its drawbacks.

Thule 450 CrossRoad Railing Roof Rack Foot Pack (Set of 4) Review

(More customer reviews)We purchased this product to go on our Ford Flex. The Bands that go around the Roof Rack Base on Vehicle are a bit tight. They were just long enough to secure. The wrench for tightening/securing the bands are in the side underneath the THULE logo. Since it was a bit hard to pull the strap around and tighten...the tool doesn't seem to want to "snap" home into the base.
The Cross Bars (not included in the Roof Rack Foot Pack) are well constructed. Very robust. They have a slight whistling...so we tend not to have it always on...only when needed.
I am disappointed that the locks are not included with the rack foot pack...especially for the price. It was not clearly stated in the description. The End Caps are included in the foot pack...but they are not included with the cross bars. Which seems odd.

Thule Rapid Crossroad Railing Foot Pack Review

(More customer reviews)I own a 2002 Volvo V70 XC with factory mounted roof rails. These feet fit the rack perfectly. My friend owns a Mitsubishi SUV with a completely different style of factory mounted roof rails, and this product fits his car too!
I mounted the feet with no trouble and no extra tools. The Thule lock cylinders (you have to order them separately) are no problem to install. There are only two things- you have to make sure that you by the Aero load bars (these feet don't work with anything else) and you have to make sure that you buy the correct length load bars as well because of how they are constructed. I have the 53 inch load bars and they work perfectly. I suggest using the rack fitting guide on rackattack.com to figure out what size works for your car.
The solid construction and universal adaptability of this product mean that I will keep it even if I have to get rid of my car. These feet fit any shape rail securely.
I would recommend this product to anyone.
